History Fair 2022

It's that time of year again! The Franklin County Historical Society and Museum is having their annual History Fair in Union, Missouri on October 23, 2022. This will be the third year I've been invited to set up my booth. This year is going to be great! Since Lynn Wagner took over as president, she and the rest of the board have been working hard to grow the Society. This year the History Fair will host more vendors than they have in the past, and it looks like next year will be shaping up to also increase vendors!

Below are a few links I am sharing specifically for the History Fair. Check out each and every one of them. I hope to see you there!

Pauline Ilg: Brave & Courageous

So if you didn't know already, I wrote a book. A short biography about my 2nd Great-grandma, Pauline Ilg. I actually shared her story in five separate blog posts back in 2020. Start by reading Chapter 1

Craft Time with Auntie Jen -
Greeting Card Book

Have you ever wondered what you can do with all the greeting cards you've collected through the years? Some cards have the signatures of family members who are no longer living. You want to keep them, but don't know what to do with them. How about creating a Greeting Card Book? Watch the video below to learn more!

Fort Leonard Wood Yearbooks

Yearbooks are a fantastic source for locating pictures of your ancestors and learning more about a particular time in their lives. One yearbook I inherited that was in my dad's collection was his Fort Leonard Wood Army Training Center Yearbook from when he attended. This website is a collection of yearbook pages containing graduates from Fort Leonard Wood Army Training Center in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The years included will be 1959-1967. The focus will mainly be on the Vietnam War era. Please visit my site to learn more about this project. (Click Image)

I hope you enjoyed the History Fair! Make sure you stop by the museum and see Franklin County's history.
